Incubation Portfolio
Breakpoint has been deeply involved incubating these businesses from the idea stage, marrying capital and founding team to turn a concept into a company:
MoPub was the largest mobile ad exchange and create the programmatic market for mobile advertising. MoPub was founded by Jim in 2010, raised $20mm in VC from Accel Partners and others, and was acquired by Twitter for $350mm pre-IPO in 2013.
MAX is a next generation mobile advertising platform for publishers to power monetization for the world’s mobile first content. MAX was founded in 2017 and was acquired by AppLovin in 2018.
Facet is a data visualization platform that allows users to explore their streaming revenue data without writing complex SQL queries or waiting for reports. Facet has raised $7mm in Seed funding and was acquired by Snap in 2021.

Founder and CEO of MoPub, acquired by Twitter in 2013 for $700mm post-IPO, Jim launched Breakpoint Capital in 2018. Prior to MoPub, Jim was a product manager at Google. Jim has a BS Computer Science from MIT.

Jack led buy-side business development for MoPub and MAX. After MAX, Jack joined The Trade Desk to lead their CTV efforts. Jack has a B.A in Business Management and a B.A in Psychology from Gettysburg College.
Micah led camera and augmented reality product and partnerships for Snapchat. Earlier, he ran all client and partner facing parts of the organization at TUNE, a mobile marketing analytics SaaS platform. Micah has a B.A. in Graphic Design from Washington State University.
